Work Package 04: Cytokine Biomarkers

  • Work Package Lead
    Kathrin Chamaon
    University of Magdeburg
  • Partners Involved
    University of Tartu
    Progenika Biopharma
  • Description
The main objective of Work Package 04 is to identify cytokines, which are altered in patients with adverse immune reaction. We hypothesize, that there is a set of differentially expressed or regulated cytokine biomarker(s) that discriminate the immune response associated with the induction of allergic sensitization from non-allergic immune response. Additionally, the results of this work package will be used for creation of a computational model for adverse immune reaction in Work Package 06.

Patient samples will be collected in OVGU and UT according to ethical regulations (Work Package 09). The cytokine levels will be compared between patient pools and groups as described in WP01. Evaluated data will be used for mathematical modelling of regulatory network of adverse immune reaction in Work Package 06. All data will be transferred into the central database (Work Package 01).
